What I offer
Loss rarely arrives in one piece. It may come slowly, through the long season of caring for someone who is dying, or all at once, dividing life into before and after. However it has come, you don't need words for it yet.
My work is to keep company with you there: to listen closely, make room for what is hard to say, and notice together what still holds you. Grief isn't a problem to solve or a stage to get through. It's love that has lost its familiar shape, and it deserves time, attention, and care.
We might spend that time together in one of the following ways. Wherever you are, that is where we begin. Nothing needs to be rushed.
Have something else in mind?
I'd be glad to hear from you.

Grief is not meant to be carried alone. It is witnessed, and in some measure borne, in community. Yet many communities, out of kindness or uncertainty, fall quiet around those who mourn, and the grieving soon learn to hide what they feel. These talks are for organizations, congregations, and care teams who want to do better. Together we explore what grief is and how it moves through a life. We learn to listen for its hidden voice, which is often present in silence, weariness, or a passing remark. And we practise speaking of loss honestly and gently, so that sorrow can be welcomed rather than avoided. A community that learns to make room for grief becomes a place where people can be known, even in their hardest seasons.
